"Enter the Void" エンター・ザ・ボイド

　　　　　

みなさん、こんにちは！

A French movie “Enter the Void” is now showing in Japan from May 15th too.
Is this the image of Tokyo that French people have?

5月15日から日本でも上映されているフランス映画”Enter the Void”.

It is perfect for reading books on a “long autumn night”.
I also read a book that I have wanted to read during this long holiday.

Do you know Japanese world famous writer Haruki Murakami?
I read one of his bestseller “Norwegian Wood (1987)” during this holiday.
I felt that it’s been a long time to find a book that I could be absorbed in reading.

By the way, this “Norwegian Wood” will be made into a movie directed by Tran Anh Hung who is Vietnamese French.
It will be released in next year autumn.
It is always said book is better than movie, I wonder how it will be.
Looking forward to it.

私もこの連休中にずっと読みたいと思っていた本を読みました。

世界的に有名な村上春樹を知っていますか？
彼のベストセラー｢ノルウェイの森｣(1987年)を読みました。
久しぶりに没頭して読める本に出会った、というのが感想です。

ところでこの｢ノルウェイの森｣がベトナム系フランス人のトラン・アン・ユン監督により映画化されます。
来年の秋に公開予定です。
映画より原作の方がおもしろい、とよく言われていますが、この作品はどうなるのでしょうか。
楽しみです。

映画 Hachiko: A Dog s Story

みなさん　こんにちは!!

東京渋谷にある｢ハチ公｣の銅像を知っていますか？
今では有名な待ち合わせの場所です。
｢ハチ公｣は1920年代に飼い主の仕事の帰りを渋谷駅で毎日待っていた犬です。
そして飼い主が亡くなってからも10年ぐらいずっと待っていた犬｢ハチ公｣
その｢ハチ公｣の話は日本でも映画化されましたが、リメイク版ハリウッド映画が来月から公開されます。
主演はリチャード・ギア。
７月７日に映画のセレモニーが渋谷駅前で行われ、リチャード・ギアが｢ハチ公｣の銅像と初対面しました。

Do you know “Hachiko” dog statue at Tokyo Shibuya station?
It is a very famous meeting spot now.
“Hachiko” was a dog that waited his master returned from his work at Shibuya station every day in 1920s.
And even “Hachiko” waited for about 10 years after his master died.
“Hachiko” story was made into a film in Japan and a Hollywood remake of it will be shown in next month.
Richard Gere stars in the film.
There was a ceremony of the film at Shibuya station on July 7th, Richard Gere meets “Hachiko” first time.
